While it is true that each SharePoint (WSS) Site Collection (SharePoint hosting plan) has its own SQL Server Content Database, there is no direct access to it. The database is for the exclusive use of your SharePoint virtual server and any changes made by a source other than SharePoint itself could render the entire SharePoint site corrupt.
