You cannot link directly to an Access database from your local workstation. You can only download the database, make your edits, and then re-upload the .mdb file to the web server.

If you want to be able to link to a database from your workstation, you will need to consider upgrading your Access database to a SQL Server database. A SQL Server database will allow you to run Access on your local workstation and link to the tables in your database running on our production server.
