To use your own domain name in your SSL URLs, your domain needs its own server certificate.

SSL web server certificates are issued to web sites by Certification Authorities, who need to verify the identify of the domain name owner.

An SSL certificate contains the following information:

- The domain for which the certificate was issued.
- The owner of the certificate (who is also the person/entity who has the right to use the domain).
- The physical location of the owner.
- The validity dates of the certificate.
- When you connect to a secure web server such as https://www.alentus.com/ (note that the 's' in 'https' indicates a secure server), that server authenticates itself to the web browser by presenting a digital certificate.

These are available for purchase through the MyAccount.Alentus.com profile. Once logged in, select "Order SSL Certificate" from the left-hand menu, and select the SSL Certificate of your choice.
