Alentus has invested a sizeable amount in backup power systems.
Primary protection comes from our arrays of UPS units. They can easily carry the system in the event of a total power failure, until our Deisel Powered Backup Generator comes on-line.
Our main Cummins Generator starts automatically and ramps up to provide full power in less than 30 seconds. The effectiveness of this system has been demonstrated a number of times as there have been occasional short term total line power failures in the past without intteruption to a single customer.
Our server rooms, employee workstations, and cooling systems are all tied into the emergency generators upon loss of line power. Our Exchange servers are located in physically separate facilities, on separate yet equally reliable backup power systems.
