The Quick Launch Bar is the menu with a slight watermark
on the left pane of main SharePoint Screens. Normally you add a link on the
quick launch bar when creating the list, document library, discussion board, or
survey; however, after the fact you may also change this setting. The best way
to show how to do this is by way of example: In this case, the "Shared
Documents" library is not showing on the "Quick Launch" bar; the user would
follow these menu "steps" to add it:
Site Settings > Modify Site
Content > Customize Shared Documents > Change General Settings >
Navigation > Display Document on the Quick Launch Bar >
